ALLEVYN Gentle Border Sacrum is an absorbent hydrocellular pad sandwiched between a perforated
silicone gel adhesive wound contact layer and a highly permeable waterproof outer film. The dressing
facilitates dynamic fluid management to provide the optimal moist wound environment which leads to
the promotion of faster wound healing.1,2 The dressing has a unique tail designed specifically for wounds
in the sacral area and fits around the cleft. The dressing has been designed following observational ethnographic
research with patients and clinicians who have experience of sacral wounds.
